Charleston is a popular place to relocate for many reasons. One of those reasons is it’s great geographical location. The city was originally built on a peninsula of land that divides the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. Now days, the metropolitan area sprawls across the three counties Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester. In Charleston you can find a variety of terrain including tidal marshes, lakes, river, bays, coves and the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches.

One of the most popular reason people move to Charleston is because they want to live near the beach. If you want to live on the beach, Charleston features a wide variety of beaches depending on what you’re looking for. Folly Beach has a more laid back feel and is very popular with those who like to surf. There’s also Kiawah, Seabrook and Wild Dunes if you would prefer a private beach. Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island provide a convenient location, closer to the downtown scene, and with plenty of public access. Sullivan’s is one of the more historical beaches in Charleston and is a quaint place to live featuring mostly houses and only two or three condos.

Besides the great selection of beaches, many people choose to relocate to Charleston for a variety of other reasons. Charleston is a cosmopolitan city whose residents enjoy the rich history of the city. Today, historic downtown Charleston is a reflection of what life was like in the past, with 18th century storefronts and other well-preserved buildings.

People also choose to relocate to Charleston because it is a great place to raise a family. Those who are looking to buy a home can find a great selection of homes and neighborhoods to meet their families’ needs. Charleston features some of the best public school districts and private schools in the state. In addition to the great schools, Charleston has a lot of other kid-oriented places too, such as the SC Aquarium, beaches, and county park.

But Charleston isn’t just a place for growing families. The A-A-R-P named Charleston as one of the top five dream towns in the U.S. for retirees. If you look at Charleston’s demographics, you’ll find that there are a lot of retirees. But, most don’t choose to live in a neighborhood solely geared towards retirement. Since Charleston has such a mix of people anyway, they base their decision on which community they like the most. Or, they decide based on location. The neighborhood that best suits their lifestyle may have other retirees as well as younger and older families.

Currently, Columbia, South Carolina’s real estate market is offering a wide range of decent homes for sale. The average home price is $249,000. Single family homes, duplexes, recreation homes, elegant homes and palaces are among many choices available to the customers.

When you buy a home in Columbia, South Carolina, sure, you are going to look over the house as carefully and thoroughly as possible before making your offer to the seller. But the fact is, you are not an expert in the field. The real estate agents or realtor are. An experienced realtor or agent can show you every property available for sale in the Lake Murray area, Lexington area in Columbia, South Carolina.

Nevertheless, you have to ensure that you select a real estate agent who knows the Columbia in detail and has already previewed many of the homes available for sale in the region. Community knowledge is important because you are not just buying a house; you are buying a home in a local neighborhood in a specific community.

As a matter of fact, buying and selling real estate can be real complex and not to mention the biggest financial decision most people ever make. With so much at stake, working with a professional real estate agent can help you locate the right property at the right price, or negotiate the best deal possible if you are selling your home. Because the Columbia real estate industry is becoming more sophisticated and challenging every day, you need a professional who understands the industry and is positioned to keep you ahead of the game.

Referrals before making the final decision could also be of help. If a friend or family member had a good experience purchasing a house in the same area, you could always take their advice.

If you have decided to buy a real estate property or a home in Columbia, South Carolina, you have certainly made a right decision. All you need to do now is, select the right house which suits you the most.

Crappies are divided into two categories which are called Black Crappie and White Crappie. The black crappie is, of course, darker in color than the white crappie but this is not the only difference. It has seven or eight dorsal spines and several spots on its sides. When fishing in deep water and large impoundments you will most likely find the black crappie because this is the type of environment they prefer.

White crappies are lighter in color and have only six dorsal spines. They also have eight or nine vertical bands on both of its sides instead of spots and the white crappie prefer living in more quite remote places than the black crappie.

The average weight for a crappie is one pound but it is possible to catch crappie weighing up to five pounds.

Lakes in South Carolina
South Carolina has many lakes where you can go crappie fishing with great success. If you are not familiar with this state and all it has to offer, then the list of lakes listed below will help to give you an idea of some of the options that are available to you.
Lake Marion
Lake Murray
Hartwell Lake
Lake Wylie
Lake Moultrie
Lake Greenwood
Lake Jocassee
Wateree Lake
Lake Moultrie
Lake Keowee
These are just a few of the options that you have when you go crappie fishing in
South Carolina. You will find that there are many more areas where the crappie fishing is excellent. Talk to local bait shop owners and local fishermen to see where they would recommend you go.

If you are visiting friends or family in South Carolina they may be able to direct you to some remote ponds, creeks or lakes that have the potential for some great crappie fishing. These are places that you would probably never find on your own.

How to Catch Crappie
There are several ways to catch crappie as they are a fairly easy species to reel in. The most commonly used methods for crappie fishing are drifting, casting, trolling and still-fishing. Either of these techniques should render you some excellent results. Springtime fishing is the best time to go South Carolina crappie fishing because it is when the crappie are getting ready for spawning season. They will be migrating into the shallow, warm water to begin spawning.

In the summer the crappie will move out to deeper water during the middle of the day where the water is cooler and then back to the shallows during the night time hours. In the fall you need to fish in the shallow to moderately deep water during the late evening to early morning hours. However, they do still go out to the deeper water during the day when the sun is at its brightest.

With tons of history and modern development, South Carolina is a unique state. South Carolina real estate is also unique because prices are so low. If you are looking to live in a historic southern city with a ton or charm, Charleston may be your answer. Sitting on the South Carolina cost, the real estate market is primed for growth.

The Real Estate Market in Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston is located at roughly the mid point of the South Caroline coastline on the Atlantic Ocean and has a population of just under 100,000 people. A city with a lot of history, Charleston has an old south feel with all the amenities you would expect in a modern city.

The average Charleston home sells for about $180,000, a figure that more or less matches the national average. Home appreciation rates are a bit below national averages, but still a healthy 7.4 percent. More importantly, the appreciation rate may be primed to increase dramatically over the next few years. The reason for this is job growth.

Any real estate market is heavily influenced by job growth in the local economy. The more job growth, the more demand there will be for workers. As more people move into the area to fill that demand, the higher home prices will go. Currently, Charleston is experiencing strong job growth. More importantly, the growth rate is expected to be nearly four times as high as the national average for the next four years. This signifies the beginning of a strong real estate market for Charleston properties.

The City of Charleston is a pleasant place because of the coastline location. It also offers the basic amenities you would need living in any city. Schools meet or exceed most national averages with higher education being particularly strong. Health costs are about equal to the national average, but you will find nearly twice as many doctors in Charleston. If you are going to have a health problem, this is the place.

The climate in Charleston is fairly mild since it is located on the ocean. You can expect summer temperatures to top out in the low nineties, while winter temperatures can be in the forties. You are going to get rain about 30 percent of the time with 50 inches being the annual average.

All and all, Charleston is a good place to live and the real estate market looks stable with robust growth on the horizon.

Before going whitewater rafting in South Carolina, you will want to determine how adventurous you want to be. If you’re looking for peaceful and relaxing, find the class II rapids for a leisurely float down the river. If you’re looking for more of an adrenaline rush, you may want to consider class III and IV rapids. Even if you’re an experience rafter, you’ll probably want to find a guide service that is both knowledgeable and experienced. Most guide services are located within a short distance of Westminster, South Carolina. Usually found near Sumter and Chattahoochee National Forests in South Carolina’s Northwest corner, guide services offer equipment and instruction, along with guided rafting trips.

Trips are generally broken into sections based on the class of rapids located along that particular section of river. For example, Wildwater Rafting company in South Carolina offers the following trips:

• Section III Mini-trip – this trip is designated as mild and is appropriate for novices, families and older rafters. Minimum age for this trip is 8 years of age

• Section III – this trip includes more than a dozen class II and III rapids and is appropriate for those ages 10 years and older

• Section IV – with 5 waterfalls and a 75 foot drop, this steepest section of the river is recommended for those with previous rafting experience. Minimum age for this trip is 13 years of age

• Overnighters – rafting section III on day one and section IV on day two, this trip is a real wilderness adventure

Guests may be required to hike short distances and assist with carrying equipment to and from the river. Whitewater rafting does require certain physical abilities so it is necessary to ensure you are capable of making the trip. Depending on the length of the trip, snacks or meals may be offered. For example, snacks may be offered on a half-day trip, while lunch may be provided on a full-day trip. Three meals are generally provided on overnight trips.

The rafting season begins in March and ends in October, so plan accordingly. Since the Chattooga river offers a whitewater trips for all levels of whitewater rafters, the river is both popular and well known. With its beautiful scenery of shorelines and dense forests, the Chattooga River is the destination for whitewater rafting in South Carolina.

If you are dating in South Carolina, here are a few places you can go to.

If you are dating in South Carolina you should go to the Museum of Confederate History which has a huge collection of firearms and photographs. They also have a collection of newspapers and currency and if your hobby is collecting currencies, you can go here to see what kind you miss in your collection. The Rice Museum is the next museum you should go visit while dating here in this state. Here you will learn about the rice culture in Georgetown county and a lot about the history of America’s agriculture. The Horry museum has history concerning the Horry county. Whatever you do in South Carolina, make sure you pass by one of the museum to learn about the history of things and the state itself. You will not only have fun here learning and spending time with your date but also increase your knowledge about some things.

You can also go to Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden if you are dating in South Carolina. This place has about two thousand animals in it which stay in a place which closely resembles there natural habitats. The garden has some exotic plants that you can take a look at. You will only need to pay abut nine dollars which is not a lot of money compared to the fun that you will have in this place if you love animals and exotic plants. You can also go to Brookgreen Gardens which is the largest sculpture garden. IT has some good collections of sculptures from very good artists that are great. They also have nice wildlife trails that you and your date can wonder off in.

While dating in South Carolina you can go to the beach. The Carolina Opry is a great place to go. This places has been voted the best place over and over again. Those people who have voted it over and over again cannot be wrong. Go there with your partner and see why it is preferred to all the other beaches. You can also go and sun bath in this place and take a deep. Myrtle Beach Pavilion is also another beach you should go to. This beach has some nice rides to offer you and your date.

To file a case in South Carolina, it is important to appoint a lawyer who has adequate knowledge of the personal injury laws existing in that state.

When a personal injury victim approaches a lawyer, the lawyer studies and analyzes all the aspects of the case and determines whether a case can be filed for compensation. A good personal injury lawyer consults the client during all the stages of litigation. At times, it is in the best interest of the client to go for an out of court settlement to save time and litigation costs. Some insurance companies prefer to settle the claims out of court to avoid lengthy legal procedures. The personal injury lawyers offer invaluable guidance to their clients while taking such crucial decisions. Most lawyers and law firms offer free initial consultation to personal injury victims. Victims can simply fill up online forms available on their websites to get their case reviewed.

Road accidents, slip and fall, medical malpractice, wrongful deaths, defective products and libel are some of the common grounds for filing personal injury lawsuits. Some personal injuries can be very fatal and may disable a victim permanently. The compensation depends on the nature and extent of damages causes to the victims.

Most lawyers operate on a contingency fee basis. The clients are charged only if they receive compensation for their losses.

South Carolina was one of the original thirteen colonies of America. This gem of the South has many different areas within its terrain to explore, from the sea level Lowcountry to the high elevation of Sassafras Mountain. And have 5 places that you should know to travel or living.

Columbia is South Carolina’s capital, and a lot of people choose to live here. It’s centrally located to the beach and the mountains. It’s one of the biggest cities in the state, and the population has grown to just over 120,000. Some of the biggest employers in the area are the University of South Carolina, the state government, and the hospital systems. Columbia (and Greenville) are the most affordable places to live in South Carolina that are also relatively good sized cities.

Greenville is located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and has cooler weather than the coastal areas of South Carolina. It snows usually about once or twice a year in the uppermost part of the state, and Greenville is the largest city in the upstate. It has an estimate of about 60,000 residents. This area has seen some of the largest growth for non-coastal areas in South Carolina, and it’s expected to grow even more in coming years. The city has plenty to do and lots of nice areas, but it’s also considered an up and coming area simply because of its past and projected growth.

Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular tourist areas in South Carolina. Every year, more than 15 million people visit South Carolina’s coast, and Myrtle Beach is at the top of the list of beaches, statistically speaking. Although a lot of people in Myrtle Beach live there year round, it’s considered more of a vacation spot. You’ll find putt-putt courses and beach shops sprinkled throughout the area. It also has a lot of large hotels and condo complexes right on the beach. Myrtle Beach is the most coastal city on this list. The residential population is estimated around 23,000.

Charleston is known for its history and culture. Its economy is also based largely on tourism, and it has started to make its way into the international tourism and real estate markets as it’s become the cultural hub of the state. You’ll find historic sites, museums, and art galleries throughout the main peninsula and surrounding areas. Charleston is considered more of an upscale port city and has 6 beaches along its coast (plus several islands and towns further inland). Charleston is comparable to Columbia in size, at just under 118,000.

Hilton Head does not attract as many tourists, and it’s known as a smaller and quieter coastal area. Various magazines often list Hilton Head in the top places to retire, but you’ll find a mix of people there. Its population is estimated at about 33,000. Real estate prices are relatively high, as the town has strict development and commercial guidelines. The town incorporated these rules in an effort to preserve the natural setting that people associate with Hilton Head.
