South Carolina State University is the black university located at Orangeburg, South Carolina. It was originally founded in 1896, as a land grant college to provide education to the citizens of the state. The university provides a platform for the African-American students to complete their bachelor or master or doctoral degrees. The university is situated in 160 acres of land with additional 286 acres at Camp Harry Daniels, SC.
